FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CLARITY from
THE START
I believe the best results are built on honesty. Here are the answers to the most common questions about the process, investment, and mutual expectations.
-
No. There are no diagnoses and no therapeutic or clinical interventions. House of Quotient offers an integrated approach that looks at how you are wired, how your life is structured, and where the two are out of sync. The work draws on developmental psychology, vitality & motivation science (Chivo), giftedness research (ECHA) and breathwork, but does not fit neatly into any single category. The form of guidance - whether coaching, counseling, training or advice - depends on what is needed at any given moment. If your question falls outside my expertise, I will always point you towards the right professional first.ion text goes here

This is a discipline that studies what people really need to flourish sustainably: in body, in mind, in collaboration and relationships with others, within every context of life (including work). It goes beyond 'just' health, exercise, or stress management and looks at the human as a whole: nervous system and capacity, needs, personality and values, motivation and direction, work and personal life in coherence. For the people House of Quotient works with, this perspective is essential. A sharp, fast, or complex system needs careful support across every domain in which it operates. Motivation science provides the framework to understand and apply that.here

Breathwork is a set of techniques that use targeted breathing patterns to enhance self-awareness and influence (regulate) the nervous system, i.e. the body's capacity to move between activation and recovery, between excitement and calm, between overwhelm and grip.
For the people House of Quotient works with, this is highly relevant because a sharp, fast, or intense system tends to come with a highly activated nervous system and intellectualisation of experiences (often referred to as "being in your head" or "analysis paralysis"). Breathwork offers direct, high-impact, low-threshold exercises to increase resilience and agency in the most accessible way possible. It's used within sessions, workshops and trainings where it fits, as one of the key modalities. Breathwork is NOT - by definition - 'spiritual' or 'woo-woo', but can be experienced as intense, depending on personal differences and preferences.

In most cases, yes. The work at House of Quotient can complement therapeutic work, specific coaching, or other professional support well, because it tends to work through different routes. If there's reason to think the timing or combination isn't in your favour, I'll always be honest about it.

All sessions can take place online, wherever you are. The setup can be adapted, in consultation, to your living situation (temporary or otherwise). For clients in the Netherlands, sessions can also happen outdoors or at a partner location. Trainings and workshops for organisations typically take place on location, inside or outside the Netherlands.

Ivana is the founder and lead practitioner. All individual tracks are led by her personally. When additional expertise adds value, experienced professionals from a carefully built network can be brought in. For organisation engagements such as workshops and training programmes, one or more specialised coaches or trainers may join, depending on scope and group size.
OUR SERVICES & PROCESS
WHO IS IT FOR?
-
No. There are no entry requirements based on labels, scores or diagnoses. People who find their way here tend to recognise themselves in a particular profile: a fast, sharp mind that thrives on complexity. A strong creative drive paired with deep curiosity. Senses that register everything, and an intense inner world that is both a source of richness and, at times, exhausting. If that sounds familiar, come in and decide for yourself whether you want to stay.

We work with the parent(s), not with the child. The work is about gaining clarity - from a position of adult agency - on what's at play for you, your child, and the family as a whole, and how you can actively influence it. The knowledge you build here applies to your child too, adapted to their capacity and development. With it, you're equipped to navigate the dynamics around your child, inside the family and beyond. For parents who want a longer, structured track around family architecture, In Residence is designed specifically for this. If parents at any point request a session for their child, it's only possible after careful consideration of the underlying needs of both parents and child. Sessions are never aimed at 'fixing' the child, diagnosing them, or otherwise intervening therapeutically.
-
It begins with a conversation to understand what is happening and where the greatest impact can be made. From there, we shape the engagement. Formats range from a focused two-hour workshop to multi-day programmes and everything in between. Think keynotes, leadership sessions, team interventions, breathwork and vitality workshops during company retreats, or intensive trajectories that draw on the full range of available expertise.

If you've recognised yourself somewhere on this site - in the patterns, in the experiences - that's usually a reliable signal. A discovery call is the simplest way to find out. You don't need to prepare anything or commit to anything. The point is to explore whether there's a match.
INVESTMENT & PAYMENT OPTIONS
-
House of Quotient deliberately operates independently of the healthcare system. You cover the costs yourself (or through your employer). This means your track is never cut short by a reimbursement ceiling. It also protects your autonomy and privacy: no diagnostic requirements, no reports to third parties, no external influence on the direction of the work. This provides the freedom to choose what's needed and wanted, instead of what's merely possible.
-
Many employers offer a personal development or vitality budget that can be applied to this work. For self-employed clients, costs may be tax-deductible. Payment typically runs per session via invoice. For In Residence, the amount can be paid in full, or in up to three instalments with a small administrative fee. In case of limited financial means, an adjusted rate may be available for a limited number of spots per year.
